The gasification system is essentially a chemical reactor responsible for carrying out several thermo-chemical reactions like pyrolysis, combustion, and reduction. The fundamental function of the gasifier is to convert the solid biomass into clean gas by thermal gasification.
Applicable Raw Materials
Mangalam Biomass Gasifier can operate with a wide range of biomass raw materials such as straw, wood chips, palm shell, bagasse, rice husk, and other agricultural, paultry, and forestry waste.

Water Content : Less than 20%

The applicable raw materials that are solid biomass can be converted into gaseous fuel called the producer gas that consists of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrogen.
The resulting producer gas has a calorific value lying somewhere between 1000-1200 kcal/nm3. Although, the calorific value is lower when compared to natural gas or liquified petroleum gas, it burns with high efficiency without the emission of smoke.
The producer gas can generate temperatures as high as 1100o C.
